Since March 2020, how we are working together has changed significantly for millions of people in all kinds of settings. For example, people whose usual workplace was „in the office“ were forced from one day to the next to move their work setting from the company office to a home office (whatever that might look like) and establish a daily routine well-functioning infrastructure.

In some cases, people have returned to the office, perhaps to work there for a few days each week. For others, their home continues to be their full-time place of work. As things stand, this new way of working will continue to accompany us for a few more months; for many, the return to full-time working in the company office is now history.

What has become crystal clear is that we need to develop a different yet complementary skill set when working remote so that people remain engaged, connected, productive and effective, even when physically separated from their colleagues and company office environment.
